A lifetime of education from schools, mentors & my patients
"My family influenced me to pursue a medical career. Outstanding mentors then cultivated my enthusiasm for urology. My education has been ongoing. It didn’t end with medical school, internship or residency. It continued with my fellowship training at the premier urologic oncology facility in the nation – Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Today, it continues through my patients, who teach me something new every day. I enjoy giving personalized, individualized attention to patients and their families."

Putting children & parents at ease
“I’ve always tried to put my patients at ease with a comforting personal approach. I understand that many of the pediatric urology problems I treat are especially difficult for parents to face. That’s why I believe in a caring, personal touch – being sensitive to my young patients’ needs and compassionate in their care. My guiding principle is to treat my patients as if they were my own children.”

Wanting to be the best in my profession
“My goal is to make lasting improvements in my patients’ lives and be the go-to guy who is respected for solving the most complex urologic problems. This way, patients and doctors can turn to me knowing I can tackle their urologic needs no matter how big or small. I chose urology because it involves a wide array of surgical problems while allowing me to maintain long-term relationships with patients. I get great satisfaction helping my patients understand their problems. It is important to be able to discuss and offer all treatment options available, both surgical and nonsurgical. If surgery is necessary, I offer the latest, least invasive techniques to return you to your normal life more quickly.”

Where compassion and advanced technology meet
“My focus is on you, and my goal is to get you back on your feet fast. Whether your problem is minor or life-threatening, I’m here to see you through it. I always try to find the best solution and, often, that does not require surgery. For those with surgical problems, I use laparoscopic technology to perform complicated procedures such as prostatectomy and total or partial nephrectomy. Robotic surgery adds new finesse to reconstruction, yielding functional results not yet imagined with traditional methods. My patients benefit from smaller scars, shorter hospital stays, if any, and better results. In the end, I enjoy seeing my patients do well – there’s nothing better than that.”
